Terms and Conditions

If you have a 2022 voucher/pack then the following exclusion dates apply:

• 1. These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.
• 2. Promoter: Merlin Entertainments plc, 3 Market Close, Poole, Dorset BH15 1NQ.
• 3. Eligibility: Entry is open to residents of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), and ROI aged 18+ except employees (and their immediate families) of Merlin Entertainments (“the Promotor”), Kellogg’s and any other companies associated with the draw.
• 4. Promotional date: Prize draw opens at 00:01 on 10.02.22 and closes 23:59 on 31.10.2022. There are 5 prizes of a short break in total to be won.
• 5. Entry Requirements: No purchase necessary. Internet access required. To enter submit your name, age, postcode and email address on the Merlin Fun website www.merlinfun.com.
• 6. For the avoidance of doubt only one entry per person per unique email address will be accepted.
• 7. Max one prize per person.
• 8. Winner Selection and notification: The draw winners will be drawn via a verifiable computerised system producing random results from valid entries submitted within 7 working days of the draw closing date and winners will be notified within 14 days of each draw via the email address given when entering. It is the responsibility of entrants to check junk/SPAM to ensure they are in receipt of any communications. The Promoter is not responsible for an entrant making a late claim on their prize if this email is missed or not read/ responded to for any reason.
• 9. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners. If the winner does not confirm acceptance by responding to notification emails within 14 days of first notification, is ineligible or are unable to comply with these Terms and Conditions, Merlin Entertainments reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random using the same methodology as above. The process will repeat until an eligible winner is able to claim the prize.
• 10. Prize stays are subject to hotel availability and winners will be asked to supply three potential dates from the eligible date ranges for the resort stay.
• 11. The Prizes:
  Prize 1: Alton Towers Resort
  Prize covers one nights’ accommodation for up to 4 guests in a standard room in the Alton Towers Hotel. Standard room consists of one double bed and a bunk bed. Valid for redemption from 1st April until 5th October 2023, excluding secondary ticketed events (e.g. concerts) and attraction closed dates. Excludes stays during peak holiday periods 2023 (Easter holidays, May half term, summer holidays and October half term). Please check Altontowers.com for the attraction opening dates and times during the 2023 season which are available on the attraction website from January 2023. Prize also includes breakfast, one day theme park tickets, one day waterpark tickets, plus car parking for the duration of the prize visit. Entrance to The Alton Towers Dungeon, Tree Top Quest, and the Spa is not included in the prize. Limited number of competition prize rooms available on any one night and subject to availability. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer. For accommodation purposes only, one guest must be aged 18+. Identification will be required upon check-in. Check-in can be made from 3pm onwards. Prizes do not include travel to or from Alton Towers Resort, in-room movies and phone calls. All other expenses are the responsibility of the winner and guests. The Alton Towers Resort reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse entry and to close and/or alter all or any part of the facilities including closure of rides and/or attractions for technical, operational, health and safety or other reasons including over-capacity. Size, height, weight, age restrictions and medical warnings apply to certain rides and attractions. Visitors under 12 years must be accompanied by a person 18 years of age or over at the Alton Towers Resort. Prizes are non-transferable, not for resale and there is no cash alternative.   Prize 2: Chessington World of Adventures Resort
  Includes an overnight stay for up to 5 guests (2 adults, 3 children) in a standard room family room at the Chessington Azteca or Safari Hotel. Prize also includes breakfast, parking and two days admission for 5 guests to Chessington World of Adventures Resort. Limited number of competition prize rooms available on any one night and subject to availability. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer. Exclusion dates apply. Valid for redemption 20th April until 2nd October 2022. Excludes all Saturday nights during full theme park opening dates, stays between 1-18 April, 1 May, 27 May-4 June, 22 Jul – 1 Sept, 21-30th October. Does not include added extras including but not limited to in-room movies, VIP experiences, fastrack, dinner and phone calls. The prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable, not for resale and there is no cash alternative. Chessington World of Adventures Resort reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse entry and to close and/or alter all or any part of the facilities including closure of rides and/or attractions for technical, operational, health and safety or other reasons including overcapacity. Size, height, weight, age restrictions and medical warnings apply to certain rides and attractions. Standard park entry terms and conditions apply.   Prize 3: Thorpe Park
  Prize includes one night’s accommodation for up to 4 guests (2 adults, 2 children under 16) in a standard room at the THORPE SHARK Cabins. Valid for redemption from 20th April until 2nd October 2023. Excludes stays during peak holiday periods 2023 (27th May – 4th June, 22nd July – 2nd September, including Easter holidays, May half term and Halloween half term). Please check thorpepark.com for the attraction opening dates and times during the 2023 season which are available on the attraction website from January 2023. Prize includes bed and breakfast and 2 days theme park entry per guest plus includes car parking for the duration of the prize visit. Excludes secondary ticketed events and/or attractions including but not limited to concerts and Jungle Escape. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer. For accommodation purposes only, one guest must be aged 18+. Identification will be required upon check-in. Check-in can be made from 3pm onwards. Prizes do not include travel to or from Thorpe Park. All other expenses are the responsibility of the winner and guests. Prizes are non-transferable, not for resale and there is no cash alternative.   Prize 4: LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort
  Prize includes one night’s accommodation for up to 4 guests (2 adults, 2 children under 16) in a standard room at the LEGOLAND® Resort Hotel. Valid for redemption from 20th April until 2nd October 2023. Excludes stays during peak holiday periods 2023 (27th May – 4th June, 21st July – 4th September, including Easter holidays, May half term and Halloween half term). Please check legoland.co.uk for the attraction opening dates and times during the 2023 season which are available on the attraction website from January 2023. Prize includes bed and breakfast and 2 days theme park entry per guest and car parking for the duration of the prize visit. Excludes secondary ticketed events and/or attractions including but not limited to concerts. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer. For accommodation purposes only, one guest must be aged 18+. Identification will be required upon check-in. Check-in can be made from 4pm onwards. Prizes do not include travel to or from LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. All other expenses are the responsibility of the winner and guests.   Prize 5: Warwick Castle
  This prize entitles the holder to one night’s accommodation in a Knights Village Lodge at Warwick Castle for up to 4 people. This prize is valid between 4th January and 23rd November 2023, is subject to availability and can be withdrawn at any time. Dates excluded from this prize are: 1 – 15 Apr, 29 Apr to 1 May, 27 May to 4 Jun, 22 Jul to 3 Sep, 28 Oct to 5 Nov 2023. This prize includes overnight accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis only, car parking on the date(s) of visit and one-day castle entry admission. This prize does not include secondary attractions (such as The Castle Dungeon, Ice Rink or Light Trail) and cannot be redeemed against charges or fees (including, but not limited to; travel, food and drink or retail items). It does not include entry to special events (such as Dragon Slayer, Luna Cinema, The Castle After Dark or The Open Arms). This prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and has no cash equivalent. Sale is strictly prohibited. • 12. All Prizes can only be used as stipulated, are not transferable to another individual and cannot be exchanged for cash or used in any other way. Exact prize is as detailed above and none of the prizes include meals or travel. Any other non-specified expenses are the responsibility of the winner and guests. Winner cannot select attraction of choice. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or ticket. Prize must be taken as a complete package. Any breach of these terms will result in disqualification and the promoter reserves the right to cancel the prize.
• 13. One guest per prize stay must be 18 years or over. Winner is responsible for adhering to all applicable attraction entry terms and conditions including size, height, weight and age restrictions and medical warnings that apply to certain rides and attractions. For more information please see:

• 14. Winners will be contacted by the attraction via the email address given for their entry within 14 days of confirming acceptance of their prize to organise trip details.
• 15. No cash or other alternative prize will be provided in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value.
• 16. Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification.
• 17. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, invalid, misdirected or late will not be valid and deemed void. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
• 18. All entries must be made directly by the person entering the prize draw. Entrants who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.
• 19. Entries (bulk or otherwise) from agents, third parties, organised groups or any entries automatically generated by computer will not be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with these Terms and Conditions.
• 20. The Promoter has no control over communications networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control, including, but not limited to user error, any network, computer, and hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s entry to the promotion.
• 21. The winners and their companions are responsible for any expenses which may be incurred including but not limited to; travel, sustenance, souvenirs and gifts.
• 22. The attraction entry tickets can only be used by the prize winner and as stipulated. The tickets are non-transferable and not for resale. Any purported or attempted transfer or sale of or other misuse of the tickets will render them automatically void.
• 23. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the promotion or invalidate any affected entries/claims. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
• 24. The winner and their companions agree to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of county of residence and will cooperate with any other reasonable requests by Merlin Entertainments relating to any post-winning publicity.
• 25. Merlin Entertainments’ decision is final in relation to promotional matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
• 26. In the event of a discrepancy between these standard Terms and Conditions and the details in the promotional material (or any other Terms and Conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry), the details of the promotional material (and any other Terms and Conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry) shall prevail.
• 27. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for address and proof of ID and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the spirit of the promotion or any instructions forming part of this promotions entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.
• 28. A list of winners will be available on request, by email to Kelloggs.Promotion@merlinentertainments.biz unless otherwise stated, after the close of the draw and for a period of 3 months. Only the surname and county of the winners will be disclosed. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting Kelloggs.Promotion@merlinentertainments.biz We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so. We reserve the right to refuse any or all such requests.
• 29. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
• 30. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
• 31. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose unless we have your consent. • 32. These terms and conditions and any related disputes are subject to interpretation under the laws of England and Wales, and to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless your residential address is in Scotland, when Scottish law applies or in the Republic of Ireland, when Irish law applies.
